AUDITIONS

In order to be in a Basha High production, you must first audition. Here are some of the things we look for at auditions:

Strong character choices
The ability to quickly move on from a mistake (don't focus on one mispronounced word, continue reading!)
Respect to others while they audition

Before auditioning, you must fill out the audition form on the right.

For non-musical plays, auditions will consist of a cold read, in which you will be asked to read through a section of a script without prior knowledge of what it says. You may be asked to read with other people or alone. Musical auditions may consist of singing pieces of a chosen song, following choreography, and cold reads. Specific information for Cinderella auditions will be announced later in the year.

Once auditions are over, a cast list will be posted outside the theatre classroom in addition to each cast member receiving a call from the production team.
